‘’You may have heard of the bee representing Manchester, or the bull symbolising Birmingham. We have now adopted our own mascot, a mammoth, in tribute to Ilford's local history. The steppe mammoth inhabited Ilford over 200,000 years ago, and one of Britain's best-preserved mammoth skull and tusks was found in 1864 near Ilford Lane.

Following a naming competition, the public spoke and our mascot's name is Marley. We’re taking it a step further and releasing mammoth merchandise – what better way to show your love of Ilford than by having magnificent Marley proudly displayed on your bag as you walk down the High Road? Or why not on the side of your mug as you have a brew? And for those of you who love a neon or 80s vibe, the eye-catching Live Love Ilford Town tote bag is perfect.

And we all know Redbridge has some of the best parks, forests and gardens in the UK, so the Discover Redbridge tote bag, with its beautiful map of Redbridge, will give you ideas for great places to visit.’’
